Staff Embedded Neuromorphic Applications Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Embedded Neuromorphic Applications Engineer to drive the development and deployment of neuromorphic AI solutions for sensor-driven applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver innovative, energy-efficient AI applications that address real-world challenges.

We will trust you with:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust AI/ML algorithms using Innatera’s SDK, focusing on embedded applications and TinyML frameworks;

  • Analyzing and optimizing ML models for latency, memory usage, power consumption, and resource utilization, leveraging our SoC capabilities;

  • Working closely with hardware, software teams and customers to deliver end-to-end solutions for diverse application use-cases;

  • Contributing to the advancement of neuromorphic computing by developing new methodologies and participating in the creation of intellectual property, including patents and research publications;

  • Guiding and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team;

  • Providing technical expertise in customer interactions, developing tailored solutions and supporting business development initiatives.

What you need to succeed:
  • PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;

  • A minimum of 5 years in developing AI applications, with a strong emphasis on TinyML.

  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow;

  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in neuromorphic engineering or spiking neural networks (SNN);

  • Experience in developing software frameworks for energy-efficient AI applications;

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a creative approach to addressing complex challenges;

  • Ability to articulate intricate neuromorphic concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders effectively;

  • Proven ability to inspire and lead teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Nice to have:

  • Background in robotics, autonomous systems, or edge AI applications utilizing neuromorphic systems;

  • Familiarity with emerging standards and ethical considerations in neuromorphic AI.
